General advice:

• Understand what VC is and how it works.
• Do a lot of research about the VC you apply for (portfolio…)
• Build strong, authentic relationships with people in the VC ecosystem.
• Be ready to articulate your motivations and knowledge about specific industries and startups.
• You can enter VC coming from various backgrounds - engineering, business, finance, startups.
• A first experience in startups, corporate finance (M&A/PE), or consulting is often required </aside>
